This is the first book where we have had disagreement on the star ratings with scores ranging from 2 to 4.
Most people thought that the book was a rattling good yarn although certainly not a great work of literature.
The ideas, although interesting, were mainly derived from other sources.
Nonetheless the book had certainly captured the popular imagination and gave rise to an interesting conversation about the role of the church in history, gnosticism, the grail legend etc.
