The Blind Assassin by Margaret Atwood
Leonne enjoyed this, although it was the second reading, whereas others found it difficult to get into and a bit confusing.
We had a very interesting discussion, helped by using the book notes from the internet.
This was a multi-layered book addressing themes such as:
the position of women in Canadian society earlier last century;
the vulnerability of small capitalist firms;
the strength of family ties;
love;
and was also a mystery;
and most people would benefit from a further reading.
