Restless by William Boyd
With a few fairly minor reservations most of us had enjoyed reading this book.
There were some inaccuracies and anachronisms and not everyone enjoyed the novel’s structure.
For most of us, however,
the alternating historical sections provided an effective way of drawing us into a gripping yarn as we eagerly anticipated the next chapter.
Most of us found the narrative credible and plausible and with the agreed exception of the little boy characterization was excellent.
This well researched and fascinating thriller was for most of us a joy to read and we will look forward with eager anticipation to the next William Boyd.
