Everybody loved this book.

Based on the highly unlikely premise of the novel’s main protagonist being struck by a meteorite that hurtles through the roof of his Glastonbury home the story unfolds credibly and enjoyably. All the main characters are wonderfully drawn and developed. They are believable, loveable and human. There are important issues involved - assisted suicide, bullying, education, growing up, growing old – but all are dealt with sensitively and with a great deal of humour.

The book is a fitting tribute to the great Kurt Vonnegut – a stunning debut novel. The author has stated quite clearly that this is a stand-alone novel. There will be no more Alex Wood adventures so we can only anticipate with relish what Gavin Extence may deliver with his second literary offering.
