Maja Bumberak with Martin Manasse: Tales of Truthful Enchantment

In Hungary they say there is a place, where butter and cream cheese grow on trees… True or false? Come and find out when you join us for an evening with Maja and Martin.

  • we take a journey to the world of tales born in the Carpathian Basin, where you can meet the shepherd who always told the truth, and discover that Hungarians and English have things in common…
  • In the second part of the evening Maja will introduce us to modern day oral storytelling in Hungary and her scholarship project teaching storytelling.
  • Finally we will meet a mysterious forest with enchanting voices and music.
