Johnson - Rowe Wedding, September 1940
The wedding took place in wartime and the air raid sirens went off during the service.
As a consequence the church was evacuated except for the vicar, bride and groom.
"Never mind G", said Ross, "we couldn't have the bells so we had the buzzers instead."
On the wedding night there was another air raid, and rather than go to the public shelter,
Ross and G spent the night in the under-stairs cupboard, playing draughts.
