Introduction
With pivot bell being place no 4, Little Bob has an interesting calling position sequence, and some short touches are available.
For a true quarter peal length Little Bob does not present sufficient change rows (maximum is 480), so splicing with another minor method is needed.
However, the real value in Little Bob is two-fold, it gives opportunity to ring by watching the treble position, and practise in picking changing patterns of hunting owing to the disruptive affect of the 4ths place half lead.
The compositions all work for any method in Group e, but a touch of methods such as Hereward Bob, where treble runs to 6ths place, will be 50% longer than if called for Little Bob..
Short touches can be called by calling pattern, beyond that the sixth is commonly used as an Observation Bell.:
