Mary was the first child of Stephen L Crimlisk and Joanna J Flynn.

1880 USA Census:2
Mary, aged 7, and her younger brother John, aged 5, were living with Mary Flynn following the death of their mother, Joanna J Flynn Crimisk, in 1877.

1900 US Census:3
4th June, 1900: Mary was recorded as a lodger in the household of her brother John, together with with John's wife Nellie, nephew Philip and niece Agnes.
Mary was recorded as 28 years old and a book-keeper by trade.
See Boston 1900 for details. NB. The enumeration could be interpreted as "Crimlish".

1900: 25th November, 1900: Mary married William P McDonough in Boston, Suffolk, Mass., USA. William was aged 38 whilst Mary was aged 27 years.4
1905: William was born.
1910: 4th December, 1910: Mary McDonough gave birth to a stillborn child. 6
1910: 12th December, Mary McDonough died in Newton Hospital, Boston, from acute peritonitus following caesarean section for obstructing uterine fibroid.
William and Mary were living at 18 Bennett Street, Brighton, Boston prior to the illness.5
