FAIRTRADE City Project Coffee Crawl Achievements:
As part of our bid for FAIRTRADE City Status we needed to increase the number of catering outets offering a FAIRTRADE Option.
In Central Hull this was the outcome
Numbers:
4 new outlets (2 or more products) counting towards Fairtrade City Status
3 new outlets with 1 Fairtrade product
3 outlets - no change.
A good result, but plenty of room for more progress.
Details:
Wilsons, Storey Street - no change
McCoys Coffee House, Princes Dock Street, Hull.
The Brazilian coffee is Fairtrade, the Earl Grey Tea is Fairtrade.
Fairtrade is available but not very visible to the customer.
La Loggia, Ferens Art Gallery, Hull.
October 2004: La Loggia now offers a Fairtrade option, please choose it and tell the staff how important it is that they have offered Fairtrade.
The Cafe manager and staff are very happy to serve Fairtrade beverages.
Cafe Cupola, Chariot Street - no change.
Lena's Deli, Vernon Street - serves Fairtrade Tea, and usually Fairtrade Snack bars.
Peaberry, Ferensway - no change.
BBC Studio Cafe - new (just before Fairtrade Fortnight) serves Fairtrade Tea and Coffee, and Fairtrade snack bars.
The Omellete - now serves Fairtrade Coffee.
Debenhams - now serves Fairtrade Tea.
Baker's Oven, Whitefriargate, offers Fairtrade Orange Juice.
