Ian Elsom / Kath Wilkie:
NB. The ascription of Thomas Magson Crimlisk and
Ernest Magson Crimlisk
as children of Mary Ellen is informed deduction, not documented fact.
The relationship between Mary Ellen and the various children (see above) is based on the Kath Wilkie database held in Filey, and
as noted on Ian Elsom's Blog, Looking at Filey.
Ian Elsom / Kath Wilkie's research is:
"
Two children are ascribed to Mary Ellen, Thomas Magson CRIMLISK born 1894 and Ernest Magson CRIMLISK born 1898 and further information about these boys is to follow.
Kath Wilkie has records for two other children born to Mary Ellen – Arthur Keld CRIMLISK born May 1890 and Margaret Jenkinson CRIMLISK born 1896, died the same year.
At the 1891 Census, while his mother was working at Church Cliff Farm Arthur was with his grandparents Thomas CRIMLISK and Elizabeth JENKINSON Crimlisk in Queen Street.
He died in September that year. (There are St Oswald’s burial records for these two children and Kath notes that Arthur KELD was a timber merchant born 1860 in Scarborough.
In 1881 he is enumerated at 26 Brook Lodge with his father William and mother Ann. PRO Ref RG11/4802 f163 p56.)
