Ringing Methods - Pure Treble Bob Major

Treble Bob Major Methods

The definition of Treble Bob applies at all stages. The treble rings a Treble Bob Hunting path, dodging once at each section. In Pure Treble Bob, when the treble hunts at the cross sections. all of the bells ring plain hunting.

These methods are heavily influenced by Plain Bob Major. Leaving aside the issue of the places made in 3-4 during the 1-2 section, the structures can all be found in Plain Bob, and those structures can be applied as rules. The value in these methods then comes from the practice at identifying places, particularly 5ths and 6ths, the skills can be solidified by using emphasised counting.

Further dividends can be gained both from studying how natural coursing order is present in the methods, and how the 8ths place lead ends relate to Plain Bob.
