or simply Hull, has started to become a Fairtrade city under the guidelines laid down by the Fairtrade Foundation. The project was launched on Tuesday March 11th, 2003, in the Guildhall, Alfred Gelder Street, Hull.
The Launch event created a "buzz of interest" with many people making contact afterwards to express support for the venture.

4-Nov-2003: Hitchcock's Restaurant Serves Fairtrade Tea and Fairtrade Coffee Only.
Congratulations, and well done Hitchcocks, the first restaurant in Hull to serve only Fairtrade beverages.
19-Nov-2003: Fairtrade Foundation announce Fairtrade grapes to be imported to the UK and sold through most Major Supermarkets.
