John "Unity Jack" Crimlis, Co. Mayo, Ireland, 1832 - 1919

P006: A.k.a. John Crimlisk, Nick name: "Unity Jack"; b. 1832, Kilgalligan, Co. Mayo, Ireland.; m. 1857, Elizabeth Johnson; d. 1919. John was the fourth child and second son of: Thomas Crimlisk and Catherine McDevitt, see:

1841: UK Census:
The census shows John in Flamborough, age 9. See Flamborough 1841

1851: UK Census:
The Census: shows John in Filey as a Fisherman, aged 18. See Filey 1851

1856: Jane Crimlis born.
1857: John married¹ Elizabeth Johnson.
1858: Catherine (Kate) Crimlis was born.
1860: Ann Crimlis was born.

1861: UK Census:
The Census: Shows John living at 3 Chapel Yard, Filey, as a Fisherman age 28. See Filey 1861
Also in the house were: his wife Elizabeth, two children Kate and Ann, and George Johnson, John's father-in-law.

1861: Mary Crimlis was born.
1864: George Johnson Crimlis was born.
1866: John Crimlis was born.
1871: Thomas Crimlis was born.

1871: UK Census:
The Census: Shows that John was living at Under Cliff in Filey, See Filey 1871
with Elizabeth (age 36), six children, but George Johnson was then absent.

1879: John's wife Elizabeth died (age 44).

1881: UK Census:
At the time of the census: John was living in Reynolds Street, Filey,See Filey 1881, he was still a Fisherman, aged 46. With him were sons George, aged 17, Fisherman, John aged 15, a Scholar, and Thomas aged 9, a Scholar, together with John Robinson Grandson aged 4, a Scholar.

1886: John Crimlis died age 19.

1891: UK Census:
John was in Chapel Street, Filey, age 56 as a Fisherman.

1919: John died² at age 86.
