Thomas Crimlisk grew up in north western Ireland and became a coastguard in 1825 at the age of 21.
He moved with his young family to England in 1838, and they settled in
Filey where his family prospered as fishing folk.

Dunaff working as a coastguard.

Thomas Crimlisk: is deviantly recorded as Thomas Crimlesk. He was living with William and Elizabeth Day, and their 6 sons
at 40 Bridge Street, Leeds. Thomas is recorded as aged 70 which is at variance with other records.
1886: Thomas Crimlisk died6 in Leeds, Yorkshire whilst at the home of his son-in-law
William Day. (NB. The age shown on FreeBMD (age 64) is inconsistent with birth (1804) and death (1886)
dates.)
