Wilfrid Crimlisk, Filey, 1899 - 1919

Wilfrid Crimlisk was the fourth child and third son of Matthew Crimlisk and Hannah Cross.

1899: Wilfrid Crimlisk was born in Filey.1

1919: Wilfrid Crimlisk died in the "Emulator" disaster of 15th April 1919, along with father Matthew and brother Thomas Robert Crimlisk. The "Emulator" had been used for minesweeping duties during WWI and was on her first trip out after return to fishing duties. She struck a mine 26 miles off Flamborough Head with the loss of all 9 crew members.
