Matthew Crimlis was the fourth child and third son of Thomas Crimlis and Elizabeth Jenkinson.

Matthew age 9, was living with his mother Elizabeth age 40, and sisters Mary Ellen age 15, Sarah Ann age 7, and Kate age 3, in Providence Place, Filey.

1891: UK Census: 3
Matthew age 19, was living with his mother Elizabeth age 49, Father Thomas age 49, and sisters Kate age 13 and Margaret age 3, in Yard, Queen Street, Filey.

1893: (Q4): Matthew married Hannah Cross.4
1895: Grace Elizabeth was born
1896: George Matthew was born
1900: Wilfrid was born
1903: Thomas Robert was born
1906: Sylvia Mary Crimlisk was born
1908: Kathleen Margaret Crimlisk was born

Matthew, Fisherman age 39 (married) is at home at 15 Queen Street, Filey, with:

1919: Matthew died in the "Emulator" disaster of 15th April 1919, along with sons Wilfrid and Thomas Robert. The "Emulator" had been used for minesweeping duties during WWI and was on her first trip out after return to fishing duties. She struck a mine 26 miles off Flamborough Head with the loss of all 9 crew members.
