June 2018 - The Peasants Revolt.

Six story tellers entertained each other and three audience members with stories and craic.

Hull Story Club

An occasional reference was made to peasants and their attitude to life.

Elaine

Vengence came to the rich and greedy after a tweeter rescued the harpist at the fat guy's party.

Hence the formation of Lake Bala Lake in mid-wales.

Plus: A greusome rendition of "The Man who had no feet".

Heather

Told us how our use of language will be viewed in year 2118.

The world will be a very different place because of the destruction of America (a consequence of Trump). Sexual language used in 2018, like "he" and "she" will have been abolished in favour of 50 shades of they.

We're all looking forward to the seratonin pills.

Mike

Talked about the Imperial Leather advert, Tommy Yates who wrote the score to the musical, "The Peasants Revolt", and gave us a rendition of John Ball is Ringing The Bell (to initiate the revolt).

Motor Bikers cat goes on a petroleum fuelled blinder, and eventually comes up short. Shaggy cat story.

Peter

The Man Who Wanted Nothing, Mr Wali Dad went from rags to riches and back again between the princess of Kaiston and the Prince of Neck-a-bad. He revolted against his current circumstance twice during the story.

And: Geoff Whitefoot (Nottingham Forest) lives on to this day!

Steve

Recounted the true story of the "Death of Millie" and "It's Not MY Cat George".

Also, how Cain fathered 900 babies in 9 months and they became seals in Ireland. The cow went home to the giant.

Roslyn

Recounted the 1066 story of the Abbots and the peasants dispute over Hornsea Mere.

The nasty Abbot's got his comeuppance and the peasants got their fish.

Roslyn is hardly a peasant but her revolt led to the installation of a peilcan crossing.
