The club met in Cottingham.

Hull Story Club - Water walk

Water Wars.

The city of Kingston-upon-Hull has many problems obtaining fresh water owing to the clay soil giving salt water. So water has been obtained from the springs in the chalky soils of surrounding villages. The conflicts this generates give rise to some juicy stories.

Roslyn led the walk and told the stories

Three miles return to Haltemprice Priory with stories about Hull versus West Hull villages Water Wars, and about the Priory itself. The event proved to be popular and a repeat event has been requested including the scary ghost story.
